Holiday is a waste of money

When I was bored inside the bus, due to the traffic jam..., and the book that I brought has been finished and not in the mood in listening music from my Ipod, there was nothing better to do than eavesdropped other people's conversation over the phone.... But before I am getting to that, I just want to tell you a bit about my teacher in the university. He is a very good teacher and likes to makes jokes or do anything to make sure that we understand the subject.... One day he informed us that due to family matter, he would not be able to come to the class so there would be no teaching that day... We were all smilling happily as it means we would have more free time ... He looked at us smilling sadly and said ...,"Yeah, yeah... I was like yo when I was a student... I can't wait to get a holiday or free day..... But when I became parent, I think differently... What a waste of money that I spend for my kid to go to school for the whole year but only attend for 10 months due to many holidays.... Your parents would think the same..." We were all quiet but of course none of his words came into our brain at that time....

Then years after, here I was... standing inside the bus to go home... And beside me, there were two teens.. I assume they arein college... They were talking excitedly about the long weekend... Yup, it was going to be long weekend as we have holiday on Friday....

"I am excited to have long weekend... Fuuuh... Now, I can go anywhere I want..."

"Me too... But we almost did not make it..."

"What do you mean?"

"Oh, Mr A wishes all of us to attend his additional class on Friday and Saturday! Can you imagine? Did not he think that we are all tired from studying all the time?"

Hmmmph...... I can't help but smile and think... her parents must be so proud to fund their daughter who has been so tired to study My teacher was right... When we are the one who spend the money, we are going to see things differently... Maybe those employers feel the same way?
