A decade ago (or probably more), I watched this funny movie : Robin Hood and men in tights. It was hilarious. The movie created to mock another Robin Hood movie, with cast such as: Kevin Costner who at that time just received an Oscar for the movie: Dancing With Wolves. Why the movie was being mocked? Well, Robin Hood is a tale from England. While Kevin Costner keep on speaking with American accent in that movie. So there was this scene when Robin Hood being asked whether he is a real one. And he replied arrogantly that he is the real one as he is the only one who speaks in English. Ha…ha…ha…
Another thing that I remembered, that one of the Ladies (sorry, forgot the name. Miriam or something?) wearing under wear with LOCK on it! At that time, I was thinking that was really funny. As the Lady have to keep her virginity, which is why the lock in her pant considered necessary. (people is a comedy’s movie! It is supposed to be hilariously ridiculous)
But when I read that there is this regulation that demands women in the massages places to wear lock in their pants, I do not think that is funny anymore. The only thought s that came to my mind is: the older this world is, the people keep on getting back to the old ways. So, it is probably hilariously ridiculous in a very sad way. It’s not a progress of life. It is a set back.
While other people started to worry about economics, and how to survive, others people can only think to find quickest and easiest way to solve a problem. Oh, people can not buy food. So, let us give them money to buy it. Nobody think about get these people any kind of job or something useful rather than just giving out. Most of the times, that help did not reach the people who REALLY need help.
And while many women struggling hard to keep their families survive, they have to deal not only with harassment from (probably) their male co-workers, danger from the street (muggers, pick pocket) , violence domestic, but also from the people who supposed to protect them with regulations.
I am just happy that I live in an area where there are so many cultures, and all people are forced to understand each other and embrace differences from others.
